Set up your phone for better AI work

Most AI work on mobile starts before you open ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Copilot. Your phone settings decide how easy the tool feels.

The situation

You open an AI app on your phone between meetings, on the couch or while traveling. The answer may be useful, but the screen is small, the text is dense and voice is not always practical. A few phone settings can make mobile AI much easier to use.

iPhone setup

  1. Open Settings, Display & Brightness, then Text Size. Increase it until AI answers are readable without pinching.
  2. Turn on Bold Text if thin text feels tiring.
  3. Use Display Zoom if the whole interface feels too small.
  4. Open Settings, Accessibility, Display & Text Size for options like Increase Contrast and Reduce Transparency.
  5. Use Spoken Content if you want iPhone to read selected text or screen content aloud.

Android setup

  1. Open Settings and search for Font size. Move the slider until long AI answers are comfortable.
  2. Search for Display size if buttons, menus and app controls feel too small.
  3. Add the Font size tile to Quick Settings if you switch between normal and larger text often.
  4. In Chrome on Android, use Settings, Accessibility, Default zoom for web-based AI tools.
  5. Try Reading mode for long articles. It can adjust font, color, spacing and read text aloud.

Try this prompt

"I am reading this on my phone. Keep the answer short, use clear headings and avoid wide tables. Put the next action at the top."

Make it easier

Save one mobile prompt in your notes app or keyboard shortcuts. Use it when an answer looks too dense. The best mobile AI setup is the one you can use quickly without changing five things every time.

Check before relying on it

Some settings do not affect every app. Android font size may not apply everywhere, and iPhone app behavior can vary. Test with the AI tools you actually use, not only in system settings.
