How to make AI work for your needs

AI becomes more useful when you stop treating it as one fixed tool and start shaping it around how you read, think, listen, see, plan and communicate.

Short summary

AI Inclusive is for people who want AI to feel clearer, calmer and easier to use. The goal is not to make you work like a machine. The goal is to help AI support your actual day: messy notes, long meetings, difficult documents, low energy, too many choices, or tools that assume everyone processes information the same way.

Who this helps

This site is for anyone who wants more control over AI output. It is especially useful when long text, unclear structure, too many choices, small interface text, audio-only information or fast meetings make work harder than it needs to be.

You do not need a diagnosis to use these ideas. If a setting or prompt makes your work easier, that is enough.

The real-life problem

Most AI advice starts with the tool: ChatGPT can do this, Claude can do that, Gemini connects to this, Copilot works inside that.

AI Inclusive starts somewhere else: what do you need help with?

Maybe you need shorter answers because long text drains you. Maybe you need structure because starting is hard. Maybe you need transcripts because listening alone is not enough. Maybe you need screen reader friendly headings, not a wall of text. Maybe you need AI to slow down, ask fewer things at once and give you one next step.

Start with these 5 choices

  1. Choose your preferred output. Ask for bullets, a table, a checklist, plain language or step-by-step instructions.
  2. Tell AI what makes content hard for you. You can say: “Long paragraphs are hard for me. Use short sections.”
  3. Use voice or read aloud when reading costs too much energy. Keep the text available too, so you can scan or search later.
  4. Ask for one next action. When you feel stuck, do not ask for a full plan first. Ask for the smallest useful next step.
  5. Check privacy settings. Use temporary or non-personalized modes when the topic is sensitive or should not shape future answers.

Try this prompt

“Help me understand this in a calmer way. Use short paragraphs, clear headings and plain language. Start with a 3-bullet summary. Then give me one next step. If you make assumptions, list them at the end.”

Accessibility notes

Good AI output should not depend on perfect focus, perfect hearing, perfect vision or a quiet brain. Ask for structure before detail. Ask for transcripts before summaries. Ask for alt text before image advice. Ask for headings before long explanations.

When you create content with AI, make the output accessible too. Add alt text for meaningful images. Include captions or transcripts for audio and video. Use descriptive links. Do not put important text only inside an image.

Quick checklist

  • Can I understand this when I am tired?
  • Can I use this without seeing an image?
  • Can I use this without hearing audio?
  • Can a screen reader follow the structure?
  • Is there one clear next step?
